It was a warm sunny Sunday afternoon when a young couple came to the fire hall with a small kitten in hand that appeared to be approximately six weeks old. The kitten was NOT breathing, so our EMS Captain immediately started CPR, and instructed other members present to get on the telephone and keep calling Vet's office until they found one that would see this young couple and their kitten. The kitten started breathing on its own and the young couple and their kitten headed to the Vets office.
Several weeks later, this same young couple with their kitten stopped by our Aspers Fire Company to express their thanks to our EMS Captain.
It was then that we learned the kitten had been a wedding present!
